Today is a short travel and positioning day, as tomorrow we depart on our 2 week narrowboat "holiday". We began our travel on a train, about 90 minutes, to get to Winsford Station. Then we had to walk 2 miles with all our "worldly possessions" to our Inn/Hotel in Middlewich.
The day is a nice one to head down to the canal to get our bearings. Gerri next to a typical rental craft (not our company); further along we get a first look at Andersen Boats, and see our stead for tomorrow pulling up to the mooring.
Lunch back at our Inn, then more walking about.
It's early October, but still lots of action on the canals - enough that we won't be lonely, but still not Summer crowds. We're excited, but apprehensive about what level of adventure this will bring.
