Hanging in the train station, Sandusky, Oh, at 4am on 10 March, waiting for the Lakeshore Limited which will take us to New York City.  In NYC we'll stay two nights meeting Jodie, Clint, and Troy at Wohops Chinese Restaurant in Chinatwon for dinner the first evening and then with Gerri's grade school mate, Mae Pan, much of the next afternoon.

Visiting a classy place - oldest continuously operating tavern in NYC.

The Washington Square Arch is a marble triumphal arch built in 1892 in Washington Square Park in the Greenwich Village neighborhood of Lower Manhattan in New York City. It celebrates the centennial of George Washington's inauguration as President of the United States in 1789 and forms the grand southern terminus of Fifth Avenue.
Just after this photo our Nikon decided to retire, so on the way to JFK Airport we bought a new one (a Sony) at B&H Photos.

First picture with the Sony - our chariot (Boeing 767) taking us to Paris on the red-eye.  We will more or less  retrace the route of Charles Lindbergh from 91 years earlier.

The red-eye flight - oh boy.

We arrived pretty much on schedule in Paris, and nine hours before we could check into our AirBnB apartment.  We traveled the metro from Charles deGaulle Airport to get to our neighborhood, and then starting killing time chilling in the shadow of the Eiffel Tower.  After about 90 minutes there we needed to wake up and warm up, so we strolled to the foot of the tower.  And then tended to other chores like Euro money from the ATM and a phone card.  We then tried out some Parisian Chinese food, and then burned up the final couple hours in the neighborhood library.  Finally we settled into our quarters and began the adjustment through the jet lag.

In case you head back to Paris, I forgot to tell you about a great Pho place, down by Place d'Italie, Pho Banh Cuon 14, 129 Ave de Choisy. There is also a nice pastry place across the intersection. Jim says: Bò Bùn.
